The Final Before & After MLS Photos of Our Ramp House Reno

I can’t believe we did it. A whirlwind of a month putting the house on the market in 4 days, selling it in 3 and then moving in 30 days.

Yep, you read that right.

We’ve barely been able to catch our breath but we are so proud to finally have these before and after shots to share of our first home, the Ramp House.

Exterior Before + After

There were three plants on the whole property when we bought this house. Over four years we spent so many days creating a magical garden that suited the cute cottage bungalow vibes we were going for. It kept us busy during the pandemic. It gave us a space to be proud of and a home to host in.

Living Room Before + After

Kitchen Before

Kitchen After

Aside from the garden, this kitchen was our biggest labour of love and what I’m most proud of in this house. It was my favourite space to wake up to and make a cup of coffee or eat breakfast on the peninsula. With it being so close to the entry of the house it was a such warm welcome and focal point.

Master Bedroom Before + After

This is probably the space I was least proud of in this house and I’ll tell you why. I think when we first bought the house we a) didn’t know how long it would take us to renovate or that a pandemic would slow us down and b) I knew it wasn’t going to be our forever house so I played it really safe design-wise. I thought of resale first instead of what would excite me and inspire me in the room. It also told us so long to have functional storage in there so it was often super messy and not the cozy vibe I want for our next bedroom. On the flip side though it got fantastic natural light with the two windows.

Guest Bedroom Before + After

The internet really loved this room and I was surprised to see it go viral on Pinterest (with a lot more of a stylized image than this mls shot of course)! We hosted a lot of guests while living here so we were happy to have a space that felt like a little retreat.

Bathroom Before + After

This was another room where I felt I played it really safe but it clearly worked out because the buyers were obsessed with this bathroom! We learned so many new skills doing this entirely ourselves even if it felt like it took forever (herringbone tile is no joke, y’all).

Office Before

Office After

This is actually the second “after” of the office as there was a more modern phase one that I did before I converted the closet into the desk area and put in the daybed!

Garden + Deck Before

Technically this shot isn’t a true before photo because we built this fence soon after moving in and we don’t really have photos of the backyard not in winter but before we landscaped everything.

Garden After

Keep in mind that we sold our house in early spring, which is a bummer because it was so magical in the summer. But if you want to see more of what our garden looked like in full bloom, head over to Instagram! We planted every single thing in this space and designed it all from scratch - irrigation, bulbs, trees and all.

Onto the next chapter!
